Practicing the Way 02: Be With Jesus

In week two of our Practicing the Way series, we explored what it means to truly be with Jesus. While following Jesus often begins with practices like attending church, reading Scripture, and praying, real transformation happens when we learn to remain connected to Him. Drawing from Bible passages like John 15:1–4 and Romans 12:1–2, we see that abiding in Jesus means remaining, renewing our minds, and building rhythms that center our lives on Him. Through practices like contemplative prayer, we create space to be still and aware of His presence throughout our day. Ultimately, the goal of a life of prayer isn’t answered prayers; the true reward is Jesus Himself.

In the first week of our Practicing the Way series, Pastor Eric unpacks Jesus’ invitation to come and find true rest by taking on His yoke. Salvation is received in a moment, but lasting rest is learned through a lifestyle of following, becoming like, and living on mission with Jesus.

Built to Last 03: Building a Legacy

In the final message of our Built to Last series, guest speaker Scott Wilson invites us to think beyond our lifetime and consider the legacy we are building. Through the promise in the Book of Malachi and the story of Elijah and Elisha, we were reminded that God’s heart is for generations to be connected and strengthened. The challenge was simple but powerful: let’s not let what God has given us stop with us. Instead, let’s intentionally pour into the next generation so the church grows stronger long after we’re gone.

Built to Last 02: Act Like Men

In week two of our series "Built to Last," we looked at what it means to live out godly manhood. As David prepared Solomon to lead, he showed that real strength is not dominance but obedience to God. Both David and Solomon failed, which reminds us that our hope is not in trying harder, but in Jesus - the better King who obeyed perfectly and loved sacrificially. Because we are rooted in Him, we can be watchful, stand firm, be strong, and do everything in love.

Built to Last 01: Great Marriages Happen on Purpose

In the opening message of our new series, Built to Last, Pastor Broc shares that great marriages don’t happen by accident; they happen on purpose. From the way Jesus lived and built relationships with those around him, we can see that humility is often the missing ingredient in marriages and relationships that last. As we grow in humility and take responsibility for our own growth, we'll see love deepen, conflict become healthier, and our relationships strengthened for the long haul.

In the final message of our series, The Devil Is a Liar, Pastor Robert teaches that hearing God’s voice flows from knowing Jesus, not mastering a spiritual formula. As we grow in relationship with Him, discernment and obedience become a natural response to His truth.

We reflected on what it looks like to be a church that welcomes everyone, keeps Jesus at the center, and lives out His love in everyday ways through unity, generosity, and service. Let's move beyond simply showing up and instead choose to belong, participate, and invest in what God is growing among us.
