In week four of The Bible for Regular People, guest speaker Holly Wagner walks through Acts 8 and reminds us that the Church is called to look different from a world that is deeply divided. As Philip carried the gospel beyond familiar people and places, we see that unity in the Church is built through humility and a shared commitment to Christ. The gospel tears down the walls that separate us and unites people across every difference. When we choose unity over division, we become a powerful witness to the world because the gospel truly is for everyone.

Even in the face of opposition and persecution, he remained faithful and boldly pointed people to Christ. His story reminds us that God uses ordinary people to share His faithfulness and make Jesus known. Monday Jun 08, 2026
Monday Jun 08, 2026
What if God’s plan has never depended on extraordinary people, but on ordinary people who are willing to depend on Him? In the first week of our summer series , The Bible for Regular People, we begin our journey through Acts and discover that Jesus didn’t send His followers out in their own strength. He told them to wait for the Holy Spirit. Acts 1 reminds us that God still empowers everyday people to live with purpose, share their faith, and participate in His mission. The same Spirit who worked through the early church is still at work today. The question isn’t how qualified you are. It’s how willing you are to trust Him.

This weekend, we continued our Trinity series by taking a closer look at God the Son—Jesus. Through John 3, we were reminded that Jesus didn’t come to condemn us but to save us, making a way for us to have eternal life through Him. So often, we try to fix ourselves, earn God’s approval, or carry our struggles on our own, but the Gospel invites us to simply look to Jesus in faith. As you go through your week, take a few moments each day to turn your attention to Him first and remember that what we fix our eyes on shapes how we live.

What does it really look like to love and serve like Jesus? In week three of the Love Your Neighbor series, Pastor Eric Sebastian reminds us that true, Jesus-centered helping begins with humility. It’s about noticing the need, letting go of our own rights, and choosing a personal, sacrificial kind of service. And as we follow His example, our actions do more than meet needs—they point people to Him.
