The King is coming. Jesus Christ has come and will come again. This is the hope of all believers, His Church. This is the theme of “Advent,” formed from a Latin word meaning “coming” or “arrival.” It’s the traditional celebration of the first advent of Jesus in humility and the anxious awaiting of His second advent in glory. We discuss four Christian themes - hospitality, grace, celebration, and incarnation - as we wait for our King in “Advent.”

Almost every classic story or blockbuster movie follows a typical pattern: The ordinary hero receives a call to adventure, wrestles with that call, then sets out on adventure. Luke Skywalker, Harry Potter, Simba, Frodo and Dorothy are all examples of this hero. And, these stories still stand out today. What story are you writing with your life? Are you stuck in the ordinary world waiting on your call to adventure? In “Hero’s Journey,” we will discover the journey we are called to be on, and be challenged to live a good story.
