In this message, we unpack the Second Commandment, "You shall not make for yourself an idol." Pastor Robert emphasizes that this commandment is about more than just physical idols. He highlights that idolatry can also present itself in other ways - getting impatient with God's process, making good things required rather than following God's guidance, and adding man-made rules or requirements to the worship of God. We are challenged to examine our lives for areas where we may be exhibiting these symptoms of idolatry and realign our focus on loving God and others, rather than following a checklist mentality.

Who Is Jesus 03: Was Jesus a Liar or Lord?

In this message, we seek the answer to whether Jesus was Lord or a liar. Jesus taught with great authority and wisdom that amazed people. The sermon argues that we should not just trust Jesus for our eternal destiny but also accept his teachings and make him the Lord and guide over how we live our daily lives. It presents evidence for why Jesus can be trusted, including his miraculous deeds, and brilliant teachings that attracted multitudes.

Who Is Jesus 01: Jesus the Teacher

This message focuses on Jesus as a teacher, specifically addressing his teachings on greed. The main text we covered was from Luke 12, where Jesus warns against greed and calls his followers to prioritize God's kingdom over accumulating possessions. The message highlighted three symptoms of greed and encouraged us to seek God's kingdom first and practice generosity. We learned that true security and fulfillment come from obedience to God rather than chasing after wealth and possessions.
