But are we looking for help in the right places? As believers, who are we looking to for help? Are we looking to friends or family? Or are we looking to The Holy Spirit - our ultimate Helper, sent as a gift to us by Jesus? In this three part series, we will discuss the Gifts of the Spirit, the Fruit of the Spirit, and how to walk in the Spirit.

Famed psychologist David Benner says: “The problem isn’t so much that we tell lies, but that we live them.” When we let the lies in, they wreak havoc to our souls and sabotage our peace. But how do we fight deceptive ideas that lead to disordered desires? Jesus, on the other hand, says that, “you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free.” We have to know the difference between our voice, the enemy’s voice, and God’s voice. Only then can we live a life that is based in truth. Only then can we live no lies.

Sometimes it can be so easy to walk through life discouraged and feeling alone. Even with the best intentions and resolutions, we often find ourselves back to old patterns and habits when we try to change. Sometimes what we need most is a word of encouragement to simply keep going. It’s almost like someone throwing a life preserver to us just when we feel like we’re drowning. Maybe we just need a simple reminder in 2022: Don’t Give Up.
